The K-League will host a grudge match this weekend when Pohang Steelers, third, host FC Seoul, sixth. The two teams competed furiously to qualify for the Asian Champions League last season. In the end, it was Seoul who snatched that third and final Champions League place, pipping Pohang to the spot thanks to a superior goal difference. These are early days in the K-League - with only two games having been played - but Pohang hold a one-point advantage over their rivals. Thus far unbeaten, they made a winning return to action when they beat Busan I'Park 2-0 in the opener. They had to adjust to life after the departure of their star performer, Wanderson. The Brazilian veteran, a left-sided jack-of-all-trades, scored 15 league goals for Pohang last season. One of the early contenders to fill his boots is Aleksandar Palocevic. The Serbian attacking midfielder arrived on loan from Nacional midway through last season and scored seven goals. He's picked up where he left off with two in two at the start of this campaign.

Seoul have kept their stars in place for what they hope is a stronger tilt at the title. Last season, they finished a whopping 23 points behind the top two, who were also separated on goal difference. However, an opening defeat was not the start that manager Choi Yong-soo was hoping for. They bounced back in round two with a 1-0 win over Gwangju to partially make up for the 3-1 defeat. Yet a slow start to the season may cost them points against Pohang, a team they've lost their last two encounters against. Back a home win.
