France will be confident of beating Panama and finishing top of Group F in the Women's World Cup. They top the group on goals scored from Jamaica with Brazil a point behind and Panama bottom after two defeats.  The French side didn't get their Women's World Cup off to a great start when being held to a goalless draw by Jamaica. They then beat Brazil 2-1 with the winning goal coming in the 83rd minute. France are ranked fifth in the world and that's 47 places higher than their opponents. Only in 2003 have they failed to make it out of the Women's World Cup group. Since then they have finished fourth in 2011 and lost in the last eight of the past two finals. The win over Brazil means the Blues have only lost to Australia in their last ten internationals with four of the last six won.

It's been a disappointing group campaign for Panama and it'd take a big win for them to have any chance of qualifying. A -5 goal difference after two defeats is a massive problem for the Canal Girls. This is their first time in the finals of the Women's World Cup. Two games so far have seen them be beaten 4-0 by Brazil and then 1-0 to Jamaica. Their last four matches have all been lost and by an aggregage of 17-0. The Red Tide have done well to qualify for the finals but they'll be on their way home after this game.
