Can Novak Djokovic complete a calendar Grand Slam or can Alexander Zverev add the US Open title to his Olympic title? The pair meet in the semi-finals with the winner taking on either Felix Auger-Aliassime or Daniil Medvedev. Djokovic is chasing a fourth Grand Slam of the year, a feat achieved just once before by Rod Laver in 1969. A US Open title will also see the Serb win a record 21st Grand Slam title. He hasn't been invincible in these championships and in each of the last three rounds he's dropped the first set. Doing that against Zverev might make for a very difficult match.

Djokovic has won six of his nine matches against Zverev. However, the German won the last one played at the Tokyo Olympics. Now he wants to finally win his first Grand Slam title. Last year saw him reach his only Grand Slam final to date. That was in the US Open but he let slip a two sets to love lead over Dominic Thiem and is still waiting for that first Grand Slam win. He's won four titles this year, two being Masters events. Only two sets have been lost on his way to this semi-final but he's likely to face a very determined Djokovic. Chances to win a calendar Grand Slam don't come along that often. Go for the top seed to get a win over Zverev.
