After a promising start to their European campaign on Wednesday, Nottingham Forest return to Premier League action. The Reds are 14th in the Premier League and on Saturday are home to seventh-placed Sunderland. Here's our match prediction.
Forest have not made the best of starts to the new season, both on and off the field. There's already been a managerial change and the arrival of Ange Postecoglou has not produced any victories yet. Their midweek 2-2 draw at Real Betis did show some signs of improvement but they really do need to get what would be only their second Premier League win of the season when taking on Sunderland.
The Black Cats of Sunderland will be delighted with earning eight points (three more than Forest) from their first five league games of the season. It's still early days but Sunderland are already five points above the relegation zone. Can they maintain their good start to the season?

Nottingham Forest begin their sixth Premier League game of the season only a point above the relegation zone. That's a big drop from last season when for a long time they looked like qualifying for the Champions League, eventually missing out by just a point.

They've also been knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Championship side Swansea City and drew 2-2 with Betis in the Europa League. They led 2-1 in Spain but a late goal saw them return with a point.
Sunderland are yet to win an away league game this season.
Sunderland are making their long-awaited return to the Premier League. They have made a confident start on their return with two wins, a couple of draws and one loss. That defeat was at fellow newly-promoted club Burnley.
They have won two league games so far this season. Both came on home soil with victories over West Ham United and Brentford. Their only point on the road came in a goalless draw at Crystal Palace.

Nottingham Forest & Sunderland Squad Analysis
Ola Aina was a key player for Nottingham Forest last season. He's still out with a hamstring injury and on top of that, fellow defender Murillo is doubtful for this match. He's missed their last three fixtures and that might become four this weekend.
Also doubtful is midfielder Douglas Luiz who was substituted at Betis due to "hamstring soreness." If he is absent, then Morgan Gibbs-White could be switched to a central midfield role. Forest are still strong in midfield with recent England debutant Ellliot Anderson and Ibrahima Sangare.
Will Jesus make his Premier League debut?
Twice this season Igor Jesus has scored twice in a game for Forest. He could make his full Premier League debut in this match but may have to wait if Chris Wood is preferred. If that is so, then Jesus will be a very useful and dangerous substitute to have.
Sunderland will have to wait until December for record-signing Habib Diarra to make his return. He's one of a growing injury list at the Stadium of Light but Luke O'Nien could be back this weekend. Reinildo is out due to suspension.
A major concern for Sunderland is the fact they are yet to score an away league goal this season. Simon Adinga could be playing up front for Sunderland alongside Isidor and Chemsdine Talbi.
