FA Cup giant killers Nottingham Forest have their toughest clash yet in the competition, a home game against Liverpool in the quarter finals of the competition. The Championship side goes into this game on a rich vein of form, unbeaten in their last nine games and winning six of the nine. Ahead of this game they staged a stunning second half comeback to beat QPR 3-1 in the Championship and despite playing in a lower league, they won’t be pushovers. Nottingham have scored two or more goals in four of their last five matches though they have managed just two clean sheets in their last five matches. At home, Nottingham Forest have four straight wins and are unbeaten in nine going into this game. Of their last nine home matches, they’ve won eight. The Championship side eliminated record FA Cup winners Arsenal and current holders Leicester City in two of their opening three games in this competition. In the last round they dumped out promotion chasing Huddersfield Town and here they’ll be targeting the big boys’ scalp. 

Liverpool have already won a cup this season - the League Cup. They are on the quest for a quadruple and in their form and quality, it will be hard to argue that they can’t win three more. Their   Premier League race received a shot in the arm with the win over Arsenal in their last game, Manchester City having dropped points. Their Champions League journey is also well on course and here they will be eyeing a win. Liverpool’s only loss in the last 18 matches was against Inter Milan in the return leg of their Champions League round of 16 game. The Reds had already secured a 2-0 away win and this loss didn’t matter in the end. They go into this game with eight wins in 10 matches and in three of their last four they’ve kept clean sheets. Liverpool have scored twice in three of their last five matches and will be unfazed at playing away from home, going into this game with five straight clean sheets on the road. They have no loss in the last eight away matches.
