Norwich vs Southampton Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Time is running out for Norwich City and they need to start winning games. They are bottom of the Premier League and host Southampton who have slipped to 14th in the table. Norwich start the weekend six points from safety with nine games to go. It's virtually seven due to their poor goal difference and if the wins don't come along this month, then an immediate return to the Championship will look inevitable. The Canaries may be in the FA Cup quarter finals but they have only won one of their last six games with four defeats. They have only scored in one of their last five league games and desperately need Teemu Pukki to find his scoring boots. Home form has improved though with only one loss in the last five league games at Carrow Road. Two of the last three have been won, though this is only their second home league match since January 18. That FA Cup run is in danger of overshadowing their league campaign. Four of their last five home league games have seen under 2.5 goals scored in them.

Southampton were in the relegation zone earlier in the season. They had a great run of form and were in with a chance of qualifying for the Europa League. It's gone downhill again recently though with four of their last five league games being lost. Now they are only seven points above the bottom three and they have a tricky run-in. Away form has seen Southampton win four in a row before losing at Liverpool and West Ham. A win here would certainly make them feel a lot safer but Norwich are starting to be hard to beat at Carrow Road. A bet on under 2.5 goals is the tip for this match.
