Norwich City and Sheffield Wednesday are still clinging on promotion hopes going into matchday 37 of the Championship. The two sides will duel this Tuesday, Norwich sitting 10th and Sheffield Wednesday 13th. We have a prediction for the match below.
Norwich City’s top six ambitions took a hit last time out as they dropped points again, in a 1-1 draw with Oxford United. The Canaries have managed 49 points and are now six points below the top six.
That draw was their fifth winless outing in their last six matches. They managed just three wins in the last 10 matches but in the last 10 home matches they lost only three.
Sheffield Wednesday’s inferior race to the top six received a major boost in terms of goals and points last time out. The Owls saw off the challenge of Plymouth Argyle away from home, winning 3-0.
With this win, they put a halt to the run of three straight defeats. In each of these three losses, they conceded at least two goals. Danny Rohl’s men, however, only failed to score once in their last nine matches.
With the derby coming right after this, Sheffield Wednesday will want to warm up for it with a win here. Three away wins in five matches will offer the needed boost.

Our Norwich vs Sheffield Wednesday Prediction
Norwich City will be looking to stretch their unbeaten home record against Sheffield Wednesday to seven matches. In that run, however, they managed just two clean sheets and there is no sign it could improve here.
With a playoff position slipping away, the hosts are likely to add more to their attack than defence. Sheffield Wednesday are also not locked out of a top six place yet and will be going for the kill. In this regard, our prediction for Norwich City v Sheffield Wednesday is for both teams to score.
