While Nimes are new to the league, they are already being touted as the toughest opponents yet for PSG. This may put pressure on them, but it should also be a call for them to go for the kill in this clash but they should be keen on how to deal with the expectations, as after the big win over Marseille, they failed to live to the billing against Toulouse, and didn’t manage a shot on target as they lost 0 – 1. PSG have scored nine goals in the opening three league matches; three goals per game, but after managing a clean sheet on the opening day, they have failed to shut out their opponents, which shows they can be beaten. The fact that PSG have managed just three clean sheets in the last 12 league matches shows they can be vulnerable in defence but they have an attacking line that will bail them out any day and though Nimes have been good at home, we don’t fancy them putting up a very successful defensive campaign in the entire 90 minutes. A number of key players will be out for PSG but the champions should have little trouble with that. They have scored at least three goals in their last five matches, in which they have also picked straight wins.
