Nice, the host, already relegated Metz on the final day of the 2025/26 French Ligue 1 campaign, hoping to avoid the relegation playoff. Placed 16th, Nice share one thing with Metz: a poor defence. Combined, the two have so far conceded a combined 136 goals, which goes well with a high-scoring prediction.
