It's been an inconsstent season for both of these clubs but they could both have happy endings. Newcastle have won three games in a row to climb up to tenth and look safe from relegation, all they need now is to sort out ownership of the club and build for next season. Arsenal have seen their form improve too and despite a tough draw against Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals could yet win the Europa League and get back into the Champions League. It'll be the Newcastle fans who will be the happiest at present as they have had some serious relegation worries after a run of just two wins in ten league matches. However, Rafael Benitez has turned things round with a great deal of help from loan signing Kennedy and Ayoze Perez who have both been on the scoresheet in their consecutive wins over Southampton, Huddersfield and Leicester. Home form was poor with a run of three points from eight games but they have won the last three without conceding a goal and that includes a victory over Manchester United.

Arsenal had a few worries in Russia on Thursday evening before getting a 2-2 draw at CSKA Moscow and making it through to the last four of the Europa League where they face Atletico Madrid. Winning the Europa League is their main target now as they start the weeked in sixth place in the Premier League 13 points off the top four. Their form has improved of late with six wins in a row before that draw on Thursday. Away form in the Premier League hasn't been great this season with just one point from their last five and that was at West Brom. They haven't won an away league game this year and their last eight away league matches have only produced four points with one win at relegation threatened Crystal Palace.  This isn't easy to predict with Newcastle feeling a lot safer now and Arsenal just back from Russia. Go for Newcastle on the double chance to either win or lose this game.
