The 3-2 New York Yankees host the 1-3 Miami Marlins in a spring training game on Thursday. The Yankees have been led by Spencer Jones so far with five hits in seven at-bats, including a home run. There have been plenty of runs scored already by the Yankees and while the 'Bronx Bombers' have only put four balls over the wall so far, they have been getting timely hits to keep the line flowing around the bases. New signing Juan Soto has only had four at-bats this spring but he has managed to drive in five runs, something that the Yankees fans are going to hope that he can continue to do for the entire season.

Things have been a struggle for the Marlins this spring so far. They knocked off the St Louis Cardinals 9-8 in their opening game but three losses and a 1-1 tie against the Cards again since has seen them score a grand total of six runs in their last four games. The loss of Jorge Soler has given them a serious loss of power in the lineup and they are struggling to get any offence rolling. Tristan Gray has hit two solo shots but they have not backed anything up. They have been struggling on the other side of the ball as well, their pitching giving up far too many hits so a powerful offence in the Yankees could spell trouble.
