The Netherlands play host to Denmark in this friendly international at the Johan Cruijff Arena. Both these teams have safely booked their places at the World Cup later this year. The home team got through a difficult group losing just once in their 10 matches. The Netherlands will be glad to have qualified after they missed out on the 2018 tournament. Although they have never won the World Cup they have consistently done well at international competitions. They will still be smarting after being knocked out in the quarter final by the Czech Republic at the Euro Championships. The Netherlands have been excellent at home and won all five of their matches during the qualifiers. They scored an incredible 20 goals in those matches at an average of four goals per match. Denmark lost their last qualifying match to Scotland but the result is slightly misleading as the already qualified Denmark team made numerous changes to the team. Denmark have been one of the form teams in Europe and this was shown when they reached the semis of the Euro Championships. Denmark won their first nine matches of the qualifiers and were among the first teams in Europe to qualify for the World Cup. It remains to be seen if they will be taking their strongest team to play against Netherlands. Denmark have only lost twice in their last ten matches. One of these defeats was an extra time loss to England in the Euro's semifinal.
