Downcast after losing an eight-goal thriller, 15th-placed Nantes return home to face bottom side Metz in their next Ligue 1 game. Nantes being out of the relegation zone is down to goal difference, and they are four points better than Metz. Here’s our prediction for the match.
Nantes twice rallied from behind against Monaco in midweek but went on to lose 5-3 at home. Les Canaries will be disappointed at scoring three times in a game but still ending up empty-handed.
A second straight home match will lift their hopes of bouncing back, though they’ve suffered back-to-back home league defeats. Nantes need to work on their defence, as witnessed in the Monaco game and having conceded 10 in the last five home matches.
