Montpellier are third in Ligue 1, though that's 16 points behind leaders PSG. They are two places a two points ahead of their opponents and a look at the stats shows why they are the favourites to win this league game. Montpellier had won four home league games in a row without conceding before a 2-2 draw with Rennes on November 25 and are unbeaten in their last seven home league games. Only Dijon have won away at Montpellier this season and that was back in August in the first game of the season. They have won two of their last three home games against Lille, both by a 3-0 scoreline.

Lille are in fourth and owe their high position in the table to their home form which has seen them earn 20 out of 24 points. Away form isn't anywhere near as impressive with just seven points from seven league games and only six goals scored. They come into this game in poor form with only two points from their last four games. Their most recent match saw them held 2-2 at home by Lyon after leading 2-0 in the first half and an 86th minute equalizer robbed them of all three points. On their travels, Lille have lost three of their last four games and the tip here is for a home win.
