Mönchengladbach vs Wolfsburg Prediction & Betting Tips - Bundesliga

Borussia Monchengladbach became the latest side to suffer a heavy defeat by Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich when losing 5-1 away at the weekend. A home game against 14th placed Wolfsburg is a lot more in their comfort zone as they continue their bid to get a Europa League place. They start the weekend in eighth, six points adrift of sixth place but with a vastly inferior goal difference. That's because the home side have a -9 goal difference caused mainly by a disappointing away record. Monchengladbach had only one league defeat in their last six games before that loss to Bayern Munich. Home form has seen them win seven league games but recent form hasn't been too impressive with just the one win in their last five but opposition has been tough with games against three of the top six in the table. 

They face easier opposition here and Wolfsburg are desperate for points at present. They are only out of the relegation places on goal difference and in a three-way survival battle with Mainz and Freiburg but will be pinning their hopes on the fact they still have to play the bottom two teams in the league at home, though they have only won two home league matches all season. Current form has picked up with a win and two draws in their last three games and with no goals conceded.  Scoring is a problem too though with them only scoring in one of their last five league games. Away form isn't inspiring with only two wins in the last 13 and they have failed to score in five of those games. A tough game to predict but a bet on under 2.5 goals in the game could be a winner with the visitors struggling for goals but doing well at the back at present.
