Borussia Monchengladbach have picked up well lately, and will be counting on home advantage when they host top four chasing Eintracht Frankfurt. Monchengladbach head to this game on 40 points and in eighth place while Frankfurt are fourth with 53 points. Monchengladbach are currently unbeaten in their last three outings. Two wins and a draw has been a massive improvement from their earlier slump, where they went on a nine-match winless run. They’re however still struggling in defence and have just one clean sheet in 10 matches. It could get harder with their first choice keeper Yann Sommer suspended for this game. Sommer was sent off in the 13th minute against Hertha Berlin and Christophe Kramer, a defensive midfielder is also suspended. They’ve scored two or more goals in the last three league matches and it hasn’t been all good at home lately. Monchengladbach have three losses in the last four home league matches. However, they’ve scored in all but one of their 14 home league matches. At this point, it is more reasonable for Monchengladbach to push for Europa League, as they are just six points off.

Frankfurt have been doing well lately, and carry to this game a run of five matches unbeaten and just one loss in 17 league matches. Andre Silva has been the main man for Frankfurt this season. He has 23 goals, and is second to Robert Lewandowski in the top scorers’ list; four of the goals have come in Frankfurt’s last three league matches and he will be key here as well.
