Monaco vs Nice Prediction & Betting Tips - Ligue 1

Monaco are in deep relegation trouble and the arrival of Thierry Henry hasn't produced any miracles yet.  A form guide for the last five league games has them rock bottom with just five points. In the real league table they are one from bottom of Ligue 1 and four points from safety. Now they have to hope that the signing of Cesc Fabregas may result in the required improvement. Monaco have only won three league games this season with just 17 goals scored, a total only better than bottom of the table Guingamp. Home form is the worst in the league though and they are still looking for their first win with just three points from nine games. Five of the last six have been lost and just before Christmas they were beaten at home by Guingamp.

Their opponents are eighth in the table and in with a chance of qualifying for European football next season. They are only four points off third and fourth places so a good run of form could get them into the Champins League next season. Nice were struggling for form before the winter break came along with three draws and a defeat. Their first game back from the break saw them beat Bordeaux with a first-half penalty and they will be looking for three more points here. Goals haven't been flowing though and their last 11 league games have all had under 2.5 goals scored in them. With Monaco also not being great scorers, the tip here is for under 2.5 goals to be scored.
