Monaco are in good form as they go into this French League Cup tie. The same can't be said for the visitors Marseille who have conceded seven goals in their last three games. Monaco are 11th in Ligue 1 but have recovered from a poor start to their season. They only earned three points from their first six league games but since then have won four out of five with 12 goals scored. The weekend saw them win 1-0 at Nantes who are second in the table. Home form has seen Monaco win three out of four with at least three goals scored in each of those matches. In the last couple of years, they have only lost one of their last six home League Cup ties and that was to PSG.

Marseille have more recent bad memories of the French league champions. They lost 4-0 at PSG on Sunday and that continued their recent poor form. Only one of their last six games have been won, a 2-0 home victory over bottom of the table Strasbourg. Away form isn't good with one point from their last three away league games with seven goals conceded. In the French League Cup, Marseille have lost four of their last five games. A bet on a Monaco home win is the one to go for here.
