Monaco have had a free week after their match with St. Etienne was postponed and they will be well rested in the midweek clash though not much can come from this game, both for Borussia Dortmund and Monaco. The Germans have already secured their place in the next round of then competition and can only focus on finishing top in Group A of the competition. Monaco are winless in their five matches in the group, and with one points so far, it will be great for them to wrap it up on a high. With the postponement, Monaco dropped back to the relegation zone in the French top flight and manager Thierry Henry will hope to build on the win in the last game, against Amiens. Dortmund are unbeaten in Bundesliga and lead by a nine – point gap on 36 points, a massive 23 – point difference and they will clearly be favorites in this game. The only loss they have suffered this season came in the Champions League, away to Atletico Madrid and having played 22 competitive matches already, places them as favorites here. The loss is their only one in the last 15 away matches but in the last eight in the competition away from home but they have not been so good away from home, winning just one of their last eight away games in the Champions League. Monaco on the other hand, have managed just three wins in 22 matches and two of the wins have come from their last five matches but they are winless in their last 10 matches at home and have also lost each of their last six Champions League away matches.
