Sixth seed Mirra Andreeva bids to reach the last 16 at Roland Garros for the second successive year. Standing in her way is the 32nd seed Yulia Putintseva. Who will face either Daria Kasatkina or Paula Badosa in round four? Read our match prediction.

This is only Andreeva's third appearance in the French Open but last year she made it to the semi-finals. The Russian is a career-high sixth in the rankings and third in the WTA Race. The latter is mainly down to her two WTA 1000 hard court titles.

The 18-year-old has been playing well on clay too this year with a 9-3 record. Quarter-finals in Rome and Madrid have been reached by the teenager.

So far in this tournament, Andreeva has beaten Cristina Bucsa and Ashlyn Krueger without dropping a set.

Yulia Putintseva has twice made it to the last eight at Roland Garros but not since 2018. This is only the second time she's reached round three since then. Hailing from Kazakhstan, Putintseva has risen to 27th in the live rankings.

This year has seen her get to one ITF clay court quarter-final from which she then withdrew. Two qualifiers have so far been beaten by her in this tournament. We tip Mirra Andreeva to beat her in straight sets.
