The Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors return to the Target Center for Game 5 of their NBA Playoff series on Wednesday night. The Timberwolves beat the Warriors on Monday and lead the series 3-1. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

After losing Game 1, the Minnesota Timberwolves have bounced back in style and are now just one win away from wrapping up their second Playoff series in five games.

On Monday, Anthony Edwards was excellent again and ended with 30 points, but the standout performer was Julius Randle with 31 points. He is averaging five points more in the Playoffs than in the regular season. 

The key to Minnesota’s victory in Game 4 was their stunning three-point accuracy, with he team converting 16 of 34 compared to the Warriors' 8 of 27. 

Meanwhile, Stephen Curry’s injury in Game 2 of this series has proven to be the turning point for the Warriors, as they just do not look the same without their leader.

Jimmy Butler and Jonathan Kuminga have done their best to carry the weight of the team, but the lack of quality and support around them has been evident. 

If the Warriors can pull one back here, it could allow for Curry’s return in Game 6, but given the tight schedule and ageing legs in their team, it will not be easy against the younger and deeper Timberwolves.
