Both of these teams had to win a tiebreaker in order to win their divisions. Millwaukee Brewers edged out Chicago Cubs wto win the National League Central Division, while Los Angeles Dodgers had to get past Colorado Rockies to win the West division. That took both teams into the National League Divison Series where Millwaukee beat Colorado Rocks 3-0 and Los Angeles Dodgers beat Atlanta Braves 3-1. The Dodgers are bidding to reach their second straight World Series after losing to Houston Astros last year. They got off to a slow start in this best of seven series against Millwaukee losing the first match 6-5 before leveling with a 4-3 win. Millwaukee again took the lead in the series with a 4-0 win, the first time the Dodgers had suffered a post season home shutout in 35 years. That must have stirred them into life as they have won the next two to go within one game of the World Series. It's not been quick though with the fourth game lasting five and a quarter hours, the second-longest NCLS game in history. So, two games left and Millwaukee have to win both of them but it's LA who have the momentum and can get the win here.
