Mexico and Costa Rica will battle for the top spot in Group A of the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2025. The two nations have already secured their quarter-final slots ahead of their round three meeting. We have the prediction for the match below.
Heading into the game, Mexico lead the group by virtue of a superior goal difference. They have scored five and conceded twice in the opening two games.
A draw will be enough to see them top this pool but with seven wins in their last 10 matches it won’t be a surprise if they attempt to go all the way for three points. In their last outing, Mexico beat Suriname 2-0.
Costa Rica, on their part, edge Mexico in terms of goals scored in this group. They have netted six times in the two matches but conceded four times, which leaves them with the inferior goal difference.
