The first round of the Hangzhou Open sees eighth seed Kamil Majchrzak take on unseeded Mattia Bellucci. Majchrzak is ranked 15 places above his opponent who is going through a really bad run of form at present. Therefore, our prediction is that Majchrzak will win this match.

In round two of this outdoor hard court tournament, the winner here will face either Bu Yunchaokete or wild card Michael Zheng.

Kamil Majchrzak hasn't had the best of years on this surface with only ten of his 24 matches being won. There have been some promising performances in recent weeks though that indicate he can win this match. There have been victories over Hamad Medjedovic and over James Duckworth in the Davis Cup last week.

Mattia Bellucci had a nightmare in his last match. That was in the US Open in New York where he took on Taylor Fritz. He only won two games in the three matches that he played. That heavy defeat meant he has now lost six of his last nine matches.

His best run this year on the ATP Tour came earlier in the year when he reached the last eight in Acapulco's outdoor hard court tournament.

Only four times this year has he made it past the first round of an ATP Tour event played on this surface.
