The Coupe de France Round of 32 will continue this Friday with Rennes making the trip to the Stade Velodrome to lock horns with an in-form Marseille side in what's likely to be an entertaining match between two top sides in Ligue 1. Rennes is currently in 5th place in Ligue 1, with 37 points in 19 games, level with Monaco in fourth and five behind their opponents in third. The visitors will come into this match on a high after choking league leaders PSG in their last match and coming away with an excellent 1-0 victory. The most impressive part of that match was not the scoreline but the fact that Rennes was able to limit PSG to just a single shot on target in the entire 90 minutes, making them the only side to accomplish that feat in Ligue 1 so far this season. However, their form on the road this season has been less impressive, winning just one in their last five away games. Rennes has only failed to score in one match this season and will be difficult to overcome despite their opposition's recent strength. 

Marseille is in great nick at the moment and has turned the Stade Velodrome into something of a fortress this season. They have won three consecutive matches on home soil and are undefeated at home this season. Marseille has also been in excellent form in front of goal of late, scoring 15 goals in their last five matches in all competitions and 11 in their last three matches at home. These impressive stats have resulted in a streak of seven consecutive wins in all competitions for Marseille. The last time they tasted defeat was on the 1st of November 2022 against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League. The home side will expect a tough challenge from the visitors after seeing their excellent performance against PSG and will have to be at their best if they want to keep their home record intact.
