Marseille vs Reims Prediction & Betting Tips - Ligue 1

Marseille are fourth in Ligue 1 and really making a title challenge this season.  However, their winning run ended on Wednesday and they look to get back in winning ways when hosting 17th placed Reims. Marseille had won six league games in a row before losing a lead at Rennes and going down 2-1. They are still in title contention though, five points behind leaders Lille but with two games in hand. That was their first away league loss of the season and they will want to get back on form in this weekend fixture.  Marseille have only lost two of their 13 league matches this season. Home form has seen Marseille win three, draw two and lose to St Etienne. They are unbeaten in their last five home league fixtures and have won the last three.

Reims climbed out of the relegation zone on Wednesday after beating Nantes (just one place above them now and in dreadful form) 3-2. That was only their third league win of the season but it was a tough game for them. They went behind early on and didn't equalize until the 68th minutes. That opened the floodgates with three goals in six minutes being scored. They held on for the win that ended a run of five league matches without a victory. They have only had one away league win this season. It was an impressive one though as they went to Montpellier and won 4-0. Of their other seven away league fixtures, three have been drawn and four lost. Their away league matches have been packed with goals though with 30 in eight matches. That includes a 4-4 draw at Lens where they led 4-2 going into the 90th minute. That may come back to haunt them if only being relegated by a point. All but one of their away league games have had over 2.5 goals scored in them. Overall, their 15 league games have seen 46 goals scored with only Brest and Nimes having conceded more goals. Marseille can get the win here to boost their title challenge.
