Olympiqiue Marseille will host PSG in the 24th round of Ligue 1 this Sunday as the French giants renew their rivalry. The home team goes to the game placed ninth in the league standings, with 33 points while PSG are third on 48 points. This is going to be the third meeting this season for these teams and each has won one of the last two. Marseille beat PSG 1-0 in an ill-tempered clash at the start of the season, a game that saw five red cards flashed. The hosts are however in a poorer form now, being winless in the last six matches and having managed just one in 10. Recently, the Marseille manager resigned, further depicting the chaos at the club, which has kept just one clean sheet in the last 12 matches. In Ligue 1, they have one win in nine matches and heading here, they are on two straight home losses. Marseille have one win in the last four matches at home, but no clean sheet in the last 13 home games.

PSG are going through their toughest season in recent years and being third in the standings is unfamiliar territory for them. In their last away game, they lost 3-2 to Lorient and were overtaken by Lyon and Lille at the top. However, the quality at the team is not in doubt and there’s always that feeling they will bounce back. They did return to winning ways with a 3-0 win over Nimes in the last game. The Parisians are still the best scorers in the league (53 goals) and with 14 conceded they are also the best defensive side. They have three clean sheets in the last four matches and four of the last five have produced over 2.5 goals. PSG have lost once in the last 10 matches and kept seven clean sheets in the process.
