Marseille vs Monaco Prediction & Betting Tips - Ligue 1

Marseille are seventh in Ligue 1 at the time of writing and only three points off the Europa League qualification places and five away from a place in the Champions League next season. They need to get back in winning ways because they have gone seven league and cup games without a win. Their last three league games have produced two draws and a defeat though the last two have been played away where they have only won three out of nine this season. Home form has been better with five wins out of eight and just one loss and that was by runaway leaders PSG. Three of their last five home league games have been won and with three clean sheets.

Monaco are one from bottom in the table and five points from safety. They have had a couple of narrow wins in the two French cup competitions but are still struggling to get out of the Ligue 1 relegation zone. Monaco have lost three of their last four league games and away form is a big problem with five away defeats to date. It's improved of late with two wins in the last three but those were against the sides currently 16th and 17th in the table. Cesc Fabregas has joined the club and he has to make a big impact if Monaco are to avoid being relegated to Ligue 2. Go for Marseille to get a narrow home win.
