Marseille and Lille have had stark contrasts in their starts to 2025 ahead of their French Cup meeting on Tuesday. Hosts Marseille come with the better form, drawn from their Ligue 1 performances, and will be clear favorites. Read on for our prediction of this match.

Marseille are coming from a seventh undefeated game after beating Rennes 2-1 away from home on Saturday. While they are struggling to keep clean sheets, Les Phocéens have time and again proven capable of outscoring their opponents.

Here they come, having won six of their last seven matches. The only time they failed to win in that run was in a 1-1 home draw with Lille a month ago.

Lille left it late to draw Marseille in the two sides’ last meeting. They will be keen on a better outing this time, especially as they haven't been convincing so far in 2025.
