Marseille are fourth in Ligue 1 and that would qualify them for next season's Europa League. They face a tough battle to clinch fourth spot with St Etienne and Reims only a point behind them. However, Marseille would much rather be playing in the Champions League next season and are six points behind third placed Lyon with nine league games to play. They lost a bit of ground in their last game though but a 3-1 loss at PSG isn't the worse performance in the world. Before that defeat, Marseille had won five of their last six league games. At home, they have won their last four league games without conceding a goal. They have only lost to the top two teams in the league in their 14 home league games this season, winning nine of them.

Angers are 12th in the table and with little chance of getting into the Europa League places and even less chance of being relegated. Only one of their last five league games have ended in victory for them and three of their last four games have been drawn.They have just one win in their last ten away league matches and just three all season. This looks a good chance for Marseille to get three points.
