Marin Cilic vs Kei Nishikori Prediction & Betting Tips - US Open

This should be a fascinating US Open quarter final between seventh seed Marin Cilic and the 21st seed Kei Nishikori. Nishikori missed this tournament last year due to injury but has had success here in the past reaching the 2016 semi-finals and was runner-up in 2014 and he has a chance to get some revenge on that loss because it just happened to be to Marin Cilic. He has already beaten Cilic once this year getting a win in the Monte Carlo Masters where he lost to Rafael Nadal in the final.  Nishikori reached the quarter finals at Wimbledon ths year as he continued his impressive comeback losing to eventual winner Novak Djokovic in four sets. So far in this tournament he has only dropped one set and is sure to give Cilic a tough match.

Cilic has one semi-final appearance in 2015 since winning the title in 2014 but has made two other Grand Slam finals, most recently this year's Australian Open. His clay season wasn't a tremendous success this year bar a semi-final in Rome and a quarter final at the French Open.  His best result this year was winning the Queen's tournament on grass but followed that up with a shock second round loss at Wimbledon. His most recent tournament saw him reach the last four in Cincinatti taking a set off Novak Djokovic. Cilic very nearly got knocked out in the third round of this tournament as he went two sets to love down to Alex de Minaur before winning 7-5 in the final set. He showed much better form when beating tenth seed David Goffin in straight sets in round four. This is a tight game but Nishikori looks to be in the better form and can be backed to get the win.
