Liverpool are yet to win a game in this group but of the four teams only Sevilla have actually managed to do that. The Reds lost a lead at home to the Spanish side when being held to a 2-2 draw at Anfield. Then they had to come from behind themselves when drawing 1-1 at Spartak Moscow. Now they have what looks like an easier task with two games against Maribor and maximum points from those games should put them in a strong position. At the weekend they held Manchester United to a goalless draw and that's just one win in their last seven league and cup games of which five have ended in draws. Maribor have one point from their two games starting with a 1-1 draw with Spartak before going down 3-0 in Sevilla. They are second in the Slovenian league two points behind the leaders and unbeaten in 12 games. Three of their last four home league games have ended in draws and three of those have been goalless draws. Liverpool do look a class above their opponents and as long as that defence of theirs behaves, they can win this match on a -1 handicap.
