When you are struggling in the bottom half of the Premier League, the last thing you need is a home game against the side eight points clear at the top. That is what faces 12th placed Manchester United this weekend as they host league leaders Liverpool. The Reds lead the table by eight points which is just one less than United have earned all season. Ole Gunnar Solksjaer's job isn't on the line yet but his team are only two points above the relegation zone. They couldn't get relegated could they? Well that's what United fans said in the 1970s and they still went down. United have many problems and have earned only one point from their last three games. Can they possibly cope with Liverpool's attack?

Liverpool have won their first eight league games of the season. They needed a last-gasp penalty to get the latest victory over Leicester City. That victory made it 17 successive wins in the Premier League and eight in a row on the road with at least two goals scored in all but the win at Sheffield United. Liverpool have scored 11 more than United in the league this season and conceded two less. With no major injuries reported from the international games and plenty of confidence, Liverpool can be backed to win this game and heap even more pressure on their opponents.
