These two clubs had contrasting weekends. Manchester United lost the derby match against City, while visitors Brighton and Hove Albion won 5-0 away at 10-man Coventry City. Four of the last five games between these two Premier League clubs have seen both sides get on the scoresheet, so our prediction is BTTS.
United have had a mixed start to the new season. The Red Devils are 13th in the table with four points from as many games. The defeat on Sunday left them eight points adrift of the league leaders, so they may well again have to rely on cup competitions for silverware this season. Both teams have scored in two of their last three games against English clubs.
Brighton and Hove Albion have only been beaten by Chelsea this season and are fourth in the table. They kept a clean sheet against Coventry on Sunday, but the two previous games the Seagulls played against English clubs saw both teams score.

Manchester United - Brighton: Form Analysis
Manchester United made a good start to the new season at Old Trafford. Games against Ipswich Town and Sabah saw them score nine goals with two conceded. It wasn't so good for them on Sunday. Even with Manchester City playing most of the game with ten men, the Reds lost 1-0.
They are down at 13th place in the Premier League and a title challenge is already looking difficult for Michael Carrick's team. United have scored seven league goals in four games, but they have conceded the same number.of goals and that is not encouraging for them.
High-scoring Seagulls will test United.
Brighton and Hove Albion are going well again with just one league defeat. They have also qualified for the league phase in the Conference League, only their second European campaign. The Seagulls won 5-0 at Coventry on Sunday. That was the fourth time this season that they have scored at least three goals in a game

Manchester United will look to bounce back from the home loss to Manchester City. Only one of their last three games has been won. The Red Devils will continue to be without Manuel Ugarte, Amad Diallo, former Seagull Carlos Baleba an Matthijs de Ligt.
Sesko might start for the Red Devils.
Here's a surprise...not. Luke Shaw is a fitness doubt after missing Sunday's game. That means Patrick Dorgu will be playing at left-back for United. Changes are likely for this match and Benjamin Sesko who has two recent goals to his name could start for United.
Brighton and Hove Albion keep on getting away draws in cup competitions. Like their opponents, they have several injury worries including Jack Hinshelwood who scored twice for them in their opening league win over Aston Villa. Ferguson, Mitoma and Minteh are also injured.
Other key players such as Rutter, Azeez and Svoboda were all absent for their last game, but they still won 5-0 at Coventry.
