PSG are the remaining unbeaten side in Group A of the UEFA Champions League and they will face a stern test in trying to hold on to it when they travel to England to face Manchester City. One point separates the two sides; City tops with nine points and PSG are second with eight. It is expected these two sides will progress to the second round and a win for either side here secures that berth. Manchester City have recovered from their small slump earlier which saw them eliminated from the League Cup and lose to Crystal Palace in the league. They now have three straight wins and are coming from one over Everton, a 3-0 victory which now has the team on two straight clean sheets. They lost 2-0 to PSG in the first meeting and while they need the points, revenge will definitely be on the agenda. Their loss to PSG is the only time they failed to score in the current Champions League campaign. In the other three matches, they’ve scored four of more in each.

PSG are coming from a hard fought 3-1 win over Nantes in Ligue 1, a game they had to win with 10 men after goalkeeper Keylor Navas was sent off in the 65th minute. Lionel Messi got his first Ligue 1 goal in the game and now seems well settled in the PSG team. He was also on the mark against Manchester City in the first meeting in this group. PSG have done well in attack; in the last 10 matches they’ve scored in eight matches and in eight of the 10 they’ve scored two or more goals. However, they’ve had issues defensively and they don’t carry to this game many clean sheets. In the last eight matches, they have just one clean sheet and both sides have scored in each of their last four matches.
