Manchester City are still unbeaten in the English Premier League having won four and drawn one of their five fixtures. Their owners have made no secret of their desire to win the Champions League and they are yet to reach their first final. Last season they lost in the quarter finals to fellow English side Liverpool but will want to do much better than that this season. City are unbeaten in their last six home games scoring 19 goals in the process. In the Champions League they had gone 13 games at home unbeaten before losing to Basel (playing a weakened side) and Liverpool.
Lyon reached the last 16 of the Europa League last season but qualified for the Champions League group stages this season. They are seventh in Ligue 1 this season and only have one point from their last two games losing at home to Nice and drawing at Caen needing an 88th minute equalizer to rescue a point. Their last five games in the Champions League have all had under 2.5 goals scored in them but they'll be lucky to maintain that record in this game.They have only won two of their last seven away league games in the Champions League with only one win home and away. The tip here is to go for City to get the win and to be ahead at both half and full time.
