A 2-0 defeat at Chelsea on Saturday saw Manchester City move down to second in the Premier League. They won't want a repeat of that in the Champions League and only need a draw at home to Hoffenheim to clinch top spot. It's a good recovery after losing their opening game to Lyon, Since that defeat they have won three and drawn away to Lyon to take a three-point lead into this final fixture. Home form for City is highly impressive with seven straight wins and 27 goals scored and have scored at least three times in eight of their last 12 at home.

Hoffenheim are bottom of the group on three points and need to win this game and see Shakhtar Donetsk lose at home to Lyon for them to qualify for the Europa League. They have led in four of their games in this group but still only have three points. Defence is a problem as they've conceded at least twice in all of their five group matches. Current form isn't promising with no wins in their last four matches and in the Champions League they have played seven games and are still looking for their first victory with eight goals conceded in three away games. Go for City to win this and be ahead at both half and full time.
