The recent league outings have not been the best for Manchester City and generally, it has been a struggle domestically. They will have another chance to start stabilizing their season with a home match against Burnley this Saturday. Heading to this game, City are in 13th place with 12 points while Burnley are 17th with five points. Manchester City have failed to win their last two league matches – against Liverpool, where they came from down to draw 1-1, and against Tottenham Hotspur, a match they lost 2-0. They recovered from the loss with a win away in the Champions League on Wednesday and will want to build on it when they face Burnley. Burnley, on their part, managed just their first win of the league this season in their last match, beating Crystal Palace 1-0. That win also came with a second straight clean sheet and Burnley will not want this run stopped when they travel to City. In their last nine league matches, Burnley have one win and six losses and they have failed to score in five of their eight league matches this season. Away from home, they have two draws and two losses in their four matches so far in the season. They have conceded three goals or more in the last three meetings with Manchester City and have scored in just one of the last six meetings with City.
