Second placed Manchester City can close the gap on Liverpool to four points with a win here. They host Aston Villa who are up to 12th in the table after two successive wins. City had a good win in midweek as they beat Atalanta in the Champions League. That's two wins in a row since losing at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers. They already have 29 goals in the Premier League and hit another five in midweek. After the loss to Wolves, they won't want any more slip-ups. Their aim will be to keep winning Premier League games and then get a win over Liverpool when they meet on November 10.

Aston Villa have beaten Norwich City and Brighton and Hove Albion in their last two league games. They won 5-1 at Norwich and then required a late goal to get the winner over Brighton. Those two wins have lifted them out of the relegation zone and up to 12th in the table. It's a tight table and even though they are only three points above the drop zone, Villa are only six adrift of the final Champions League position. They have only got three points from their four away league matches. Villa did lead at both Tottenham and Aston Villa but their defending still poses problems for them. With eight goals scored on the road and eight conceded, the chances are this will be another high scoring game at the Etihad. Go for City to expose Villa's defensive weaknesses. They can win this and be ahead at both half and full time.
