North Macedonia vs Malta Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro

North Macedonia and Malta have been placed in Group C of the 2024 UEFA Euro Qualifiers and will face each other on Thursday in Macedonia. North Macedonia qualified for the last Euro tournament in 2020 for the very first time in history and will want to make playing at the tournament a normal occurrence for them. They are favourites in this match but their recent results suggest that it won’t be a stroll in the park for them. They have not scored an open-play goal in their last five matches and this should be one of the many concerns alongside their lack of clean sheets for head coach Blagoja Milevski. Napoli’s Elif Elmas will lead the onslaught for goals alongside Trabzonspor midfielder Enis Bardhi who has scored three of Macedonia’s last six goals.

Malta have fared better than Macedonia in recent matches leading up to this match but have not had the best of times playing away from home, especially in competitive fixtures. With a more difficult qualifier coming up against European champions Italy this weekend, Malta will want to start off positively here. Coach Michele Marcolini’s charges have been stronger offensively than they have been at the back and have scored at least one goal in six of their last seven matches. Only four players in the entire Malta squad play outside of the country and the familiarity could benefit them here. It is more than 20 years since these two nations last played each other in a competitive match. They however last faced each other in a friendly in 2010 with the match ending 1-1.
