Olympique Lyon will be back at home, to take on Strasbourg in Ligue 1 Round 24. They are second in the standings with 49 points and 15th placed Strasbourg have 25 points. While Lyon are seeing a fourth straight win, the visitors are looking to end a three-game winless streak. Lyon had to fight hard to beat relegation threatened Dijon 1-0 in their last game and will be happy to have won three points and secured a second clean sheet in six matches. They have now scored 10 goals in the last five matches, while conceding four and three of the five have produced three goals or more. Thrice in the last five matches, they have also been able to score two or more goals. At home, they have done well so far, losing just one and winning seven of the 11 played there in Ligue 1 this season. They have collected 24 out of the possible 33 points and scored at least two goals in eight of the 11 home league matches. The only downside to their home matches is that Lyon have just three clean sheets in the 11 home league matches.
Strasbourg go to this game straight from a 2-2 draw with Reims. Once again, and for the second time in three matches, they let go of the lead to settle for a draw. In the Reims game, Strasbourg led 2-0 by the 82nd minute but two goals in the final seven minutes saw them drop points. It is now three winless outings for the visitors and they tour a very tough place for away teams. As they look to upset home side Lyon, a big issue for Strasbourg is that they do not score a lot of goals. While they have failed to score in just one of the last six matches, it is only once in the last five matches that they have scored more than one goal. They have three away wins in the last five matches but haven’t scored more than one goal in the last three. In their last three matches, they have conceded second half goals, and went on to drop points, losing once and drawing twice.
