Olympique Lyon will be hosting PSG in the biggest game in Ligue 1 this weekend, a clash that will play a key role in the title race, and both sides will be gunning for the three points on offer. PSG are second in the league standings on 60 points, the same tally as Lyon but the two are separated by goal difference. In the last round of matches, each of the top four sides dropped points, leaving the standings unchanged. Lyon are coming from a 1-1 draw with Reims, staying unbeaten in five matches, while they have just one loss and eight wins in their last 11 matches. The hosts may be unbeaten in their last four league matches but have been unconvincing in their recent league outings. They have two wins and two draws in the last four matches. They’ve managed just one clean sheet in the last five league matches, but have scored in nine straight league matches and head to this game having won six of their last 10 in the league. At home, in the 14 league matches played this season, Lyon have nine wins. Three of their last four home games in the league have produced over 2.5 goals.

In the last match between these two sides, PSG lost for the first time in five meetings, suffering a 1-0 defeat at home. Much has changed since but one constant remains, these two are very serious players in this season’s title race. This season it hasn’t been as easy as in the recent past for PSG; they’ll have to sweat it out and go here having already lost seven league matches. A few seasons back it would have been unthinkable but just like Lyon, the Parisians have been unconvincing in their recent matches. The 3-0 win over Lille in Coupe de France was PSG’s first win in three matches but they’ve won three of their last five, and kept three clean sheets. In their last league game, they lost 2-1 to Nantes amid reports of a robbery at Angel di Maria’s residence during the game. Three of PSG’s last five matches have yielded over 2.5 goals and two clean sheets and they have three straight away wins in Ligue 1.
