Lyon vs Metz Prediction & Betting Tips - Ligue 1

Lyon go into the weekend top of Ligue 1 but could be down to third by the time this game begins. They host Metz who are 12th in the table on a run of three league games without a win. This is the last league fixture of the weekend, so both PSG and Lille can go ahead of them earlier in the weekend. Lyon lead the table by a point but nearly lost their most recent league fixture. They were 2-0 down at Rennes before scoring in the 79th and 82nd minutes to rescue a point. That draw ended a run of three straight league victories that took them to the top of Ligue 1. Lyon are undefeated in their last 16 league games since a loss at Montpellier in mid-September. Six out of nine have been won at home with only eight goals concededm stretching their unbeaten home league run to 13 games. At least two goals have been scored by them in each of their last six home league fixtures. 

Metz are eight points behind the final Europa League place and 11 above the relegation zone. They are struggling for form though with two draws and a loss in their last three league games. That's even more disappointing as the last two have both been played on home soil. They drew 0-0 with Bordeaux and then needed a late goal to rescue a point against Nice. Only two of their nine away league games have been won this season with three losses. There have scored eight and conceded eight with only one win in the last four. That was at Montpellier who are struggling at home at present. They have a bad record at Lyon though with seven straight league losses and no goals scored. Another loss looms here, go for a home win,
