Marseille have had a great start to their domestic campaign and are the closest challengers to PSG but they have had a few grey patches in their season so far, most notably their loss at home to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League ahead of this clash and they will be keen to make up for the loss with a win against another title contender after earlier seeing off Monaco. Marseille have managed three wins in the opening five league games and in these they have on two occasions picked 4 - 0 wins, while they have scored in all the five, a total of 14 goals, with the matches coming with two clean sheets. The loss to Frankfurt was one of the shock moments Marseille have carried along with them this season so far; they also lost to Ligue 1 new boys Nimes earlier in the season. They beat Monaco away this season and they will hope to inflict the same on Lyon at their backyard and looking at the hosts' domestic form, with two losses and a draw in the last four, this is a game they will head to hoping for a good result. Lyon have however put on a great run at home, especially in Ligue 1, where they have managed eight wins in their last 10 and they have seven clean sheets in the process. With two losses and five wins in their last 10 away matches in Ligue 1, Monaco will also have their tails up.
