Manchester City's Champions League campaign got off to an unexpected start when they lost at home to Lyon. Since then they have won three games in a row and come into this return fixture with the French side top of the group with a three-point lead. They are in great form at present with 12 wins and a draw in all competitions since that shock home loss. In seven of their last eight games they have scored at least twice and have only lost one of their last 19 league and cup games. They have won both their away games in this group and a win here will confirm them as group winners.

Lyon haven't won a game in this group since that win at City. They haven't lost either though with three straight draws and have a three-point lead over Hoffenheim in third but have a better record than the Germans in their head-to head matches. Their final game is at Shakhtar which won't be easy but they are in decent form at present. Lyon are unbeaten in their last seven matches since a heavy defeat by PSG. Home form in the Champions League is a major problem though with just one win in the last nine. Manchester City are in great fom at present and scoring for fun, they can do what should have been done at home and get the win here.
