Lyon vs Caen Prediction & Betting Tips - Ligue 1

Lyon are third in Ligue 1 and that would take them into the Champions League next season. It would only qualify them for the play-off round rather than the group stages. If they want to avoid a potentially awkward qualifier, they would need to catch second-placed Lille but with two games remaining are six points behind Lille with an inferior goal difference. More important then is securing third place and they are four points clear of St Etienne. One more win will guarantee them their Champions League place and this home game against Caen looks a great opportunity to get three points. After a couple of league losses in April, Lyon have bounced back with three wins in four games. The other match saw them draw 2-2 with Lille, the one they could have really done with winning. Lyon have only one loss in their last nine home league games. 

Caen are 18th in the table and that puts them in the relegation zone but only on goal difference behind Monaco. They are certainly making a fight of it with three wins in their last four league games. Disappointingly, the other game was a goalless draw against relegated Guingamp. Two of their last four away games have been won including a vital win at Monaco. Only three of their away league matches have been won this season with 13 goals scored. Lyon need the win and have home advantage, go for them to win this game and lead at both half and full time.
