Olympique Lyonnais are going through tough times and their quest for a first league title in 23 years isn’t going well. They will have the opportunity to steady their season when they host Angers in the Ligue 1 clash on Sunday. Lyon are placed fourth going to the game, with 61 points. Angers head to this game placed 11th with 41 points and hoping to bounce back after going winless in the last three league matches. They were also involved in the French Cup in midweek but theirs was a straightforward win, beating Sedan 1-0. They hope to replicate this in Ligue 1, where they’ve managed just two wins, and six losses in the last 13 matches. Angers haven’t been very sharp in attack, and go here having failed to score in two of their last three league matches. They’ve scored more than a goal in just one of their last nine league matches and failed to score completely in five. Angers have one win in their last seven away league matches, failed to score in five of the seven and are winless in nine meetings with Lyon. It hasn’t been great for them away from home too, with only six wins in the 16 Ligue 1 matches – a 38% winning rate away from home, having earned 23 out of a possible 48 points.
