Lloyd Harris vs Alex Michelsen Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Wimbledon Championships

Qualifier Lloyd Harris is up against unseeded Alex Michelsen in the first round of the WImbledon Championships. The winner of this match will take on either 14th seed Ben Shelton or qualifier Mattia Bellucci in the last 64.

Harris had to qualify to make it into the first round of this grass court Grand Slam. He was seeded fifth and only dropped one set in his three qualifying matches. That was against Hugo Grenier when losing the third set. 

The South African is 118th in the live rankings. He's dropped out of the top 100 because he's just lost the points earned when getting to the last four in last year's Mallorca Open. 

Harris has only once reached the second round at Wimbledon and that was in 2022. This year has seen him win the grass court Challenger Tour event held in Surbiton with wins over Billy Harris and Aleksandar Vukic.

He also got to the last eight in Ilkley before his good run in the Wimbledon qualifiers. He won his only previous match against Michelsen. That was a three-set win in the qualifying rounds for last year's Mallorca Open.

Alex Michelsen has also been enjoying a good run on grass in recent weeks. Last week saw him get to the last eight of the Mallorca Open, losing to eventual runner-up Sebastian Ofner after winning the first set.

The American is making his Wimbledon debut and is a career-high 55th in the live rankings. He's shown good form on grass in the past and in 2023 was the runner-up in the final of the Hall of Fame Open. 

Michelsen totally lacks experience at Wimbledon and that won't make life easy for him. Harris has been as high as 31st in the rankings (achieved in 2022) and we tip him to win this match..
