Liverpool vs Leicester Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Against RB Salzburg on Wednesday, for the first time since the start of May, Liverpool conceded three goals in a game. It last happened against Barcelona and they will definitely be eying a better defensive job against Leicester City, who are coming from a massive 5 – 0 win over Newcastle United and had no midweek activity so they will be well rested. Over the past few months, Liverpool have been among the best sides in Europe, if not the best. They have lost just once this season, to Napoli in the Champions League, then they drew with Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup and won on post match penalties. Otherwise it has been all wins for the Reds. They have 16 straight wins in the Premier League and they remain the only side on a perfect run so far in the league. At time they can be unplayable at home, but they go to this game without a clean sheet in the last three league matches at home. They have won each of their last 10 home matches and in these they have scored two or more goals per game. In the last 43 home matches, Liverpool have suffered no loss.

Leicester City, on the other hand have benefitted from a good run lately, which has seen them rise to third on the log on 14 points, just seven behind league leaders Liverpool. They have scored 11 goals in the last three matches but the quality of opposition here will be very different and the fact that they recently lost to Manchester United will put questions on their ability to contain Liverpool. Of their seven league matches this season, Leicester City have failed to score in just two, while they have scored twice or more in four of the last five matches. It is their away form they should worry about though; in the last five Premier League matches, they have managed just one win but they have three wins in the last seven away matches in the league. They haven’t managed a clean sheet in their last 11 away league matches and have just two in the last 15. Leicester have not beaten Liverpool in their last four meetings, losing three. They however managed a draw in their most recent visit to Anfield - last season - making them one of the few teams to have picked a point at Liverpool's backyard. Six of the last eight meetings between these two sides have yielded over 2.5 goals.
