Liverpool - Accrington Stanley: Form Analysis
Liverpool last won the FA Cup in 2022 and were quarter-finalists last season. Seven of their last eight home FA Cup ties have been won and their last loss was to West Bromwich Albion seven years ago. On that occasion, plenty of team changes were made and that will be the case again for this match.
Wednesday saw them lose 1-0 at Tottenham in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg. They were unbeaten in 24 games before that loss and have now gone two games without a win.
Accrington Stanley are out to cause a shock.
Accrington Stanley are only five points above the League Two relegation zone. It’s a situation that has eased in recent weeks though. Stanley have won their last two league matches, most recently 2-0 at Colchester United. Before those wins, over 90 minutes they had gone eight games without a win.
To reach this third round, Accrington have won at non-league Rushall Olympic and then had a penalty shoot-out win over League Two Swindon. They trailed 2-1 in that game and equalized in the 91st minute. Tyler Walton has scored their last three goals in this competition, while Shaun Whalley has hit three in those two recent wins.

Liverpool & Accrington Stanley Squad Analysis
Liverpool will continue to ring the changes when they play Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup third round. With a big game against Notingham Forest on the horizon, it'd be a massive shock if players such as Mo Salah and Cody Gakpo started this match.
Young players such as Tyler Morton, Trey Nyoni, Jayden Danns (who scored twice against Southampton in the FA Cup last season) and James McConnell could all feature. Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, Caoimhin Keller, Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott could also feature.
Accrington Stanley will be missing Seb Quirk and Jay Rich-Baghuelou for this FA Cup game against Liverpool. There are also doubts about the fitness of both Dara Costelloe and Jake Batty.
Walton is out to create history for Accrington.
Tyler Walton will be out to create history in this game. If he can get on the scoresheet, he'll be the first Accrington player who has scored in the first three rounds of the FA Cup in the same season.

Our Liverpool vs Accrington Stanley Prediction
Liverpool will make plenty of changes for this match so keep an eye on the team news for this FA Cup tie. The Reds are top of the Premier League and not lost a game since September. The last thing they will want is to suffer an embarrassing home loss to Accrington Stanley and it's very unlikely that is going to happen this weekend.
Even with most of their top players rested, their replacements are far higher quality players than Accrington Stanley possess. Our Liverpool v Accrington Stanley prediction is Liverpool to win and over 3.5 goals.
